It is not surprising that New South Wales attracts thousands of visitors every year, with its abundance of amazing beaches with excellent surfing, stunning landscapes, wineries, superb restaurants, World Heritage National Parks and of course Australia’s oldest and most illuminating harbour city, Sydney.
Victoria
Victoria is in the south-eastern edge of the continent and is the second smallest state. Packed into this compact area are lots of diverse regional areas and attractions from national parks and forests packed with wildlife to wineries and mountains. Many of Victoria’s unique and varied landscapes are easily accessible as day trips from the state capital of Melbourne.
South Australia
South Australia is famous mainly for wine and opals. More than half of Australia’s wine is produced in the South. The vineyards flourish in the Med climate, and the three major opal fields, Coober Pedy, Mintabie and Andamooka, supply around 80% of the total world opal production. The emphasis is on quality experiences for visitors and allows you to get the true experience of this vast region. Its an ideal choice for the 2nd time visitor to Australia or anyone looking to experience the more remote areas of Australia. The capital of Adelaide is the starting point to this trekkers dreamland.
Tasmania
Tasmania is positioned south of mainland Australia and its landscape and scenery are truly spectacular. The rich colonial history, lush rainforests, wildlife varieties, wonderful beaches, superb cuisine and some excellent wines make Tasmania one destination in Australia that truly has lots to offer. Over 40 percent of the island is protected in reserves and national parks, it is a nature lovers paradise. It is quite a compact island, and easily accessible from mainland Australia.
Western Australia
Western Australia is the largest state in Australia, covering 1/3 of this vast continent. The immaculate coastline, delightful capital of Perth, superb climate, the massive beehive shaped 'hills' of the Bungle Bungles, beautiful lanscapes, 'Outback', swimming with the whale shark (worlds largest fish!) and dive on the spectacular Ningoloo Reef. All this in just one state. Western Australia is famous for long days of sun, dry climate, crystal clear blue skies and pristine beaches as well as its relaxed and welcoming nature.
Northern Territory
This is where the 'real' Outback is! The Northern Territory is basically two very different regions- the red centre, home to Uluru (Ayers Rock) and the tropical side, where Kakadu National Park can be found. The Northern Territory provides impressive landscapes and beauty, awe inspiring national parks, deep Aboriginal culture and some of the best opportunities for walking, camping and anything to do with being outdoors.
Queensland
Queensland -known as the sunshine state, it has something for everyone. The main regions are Brisbane for Southern Queensland, with its popular holiday resorts of the Gold Coast. The beautiful pristine islands of the Whitsundays. Cairns -for the tropical North Queensland; a region with an immaculate coastline, magnificent waterfalls and crystal clear lakes. The main attraction to Queensland simply must be the Great Barrier Reef, which stretches over 1,500 miles. The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s most diverse coral reef and a visit to Australia would be complete without seeing the rainbow colours of the Great Barrier Reef.
